Summary/Abstract: The presented apology of Paweł Lisicki stems from the belief that a Christian must be a great “swordsman” of reason in the post-modern world. Therefore, he cannot be afraid of or hide from its allegations. However, reason should not be used just for fun or to gain applause and recognition of the world, but it must be directed to questioning the world and the pride man has inside. Lisicki’s precision of argument, revealing his excellent knowledge of theological and philosophical thought as well as his extraordinary ability to conduct discourse, proves that his apology is of the highest value, in which the main tool of defense are issues such as the rationality of faith and the inscrutability of God. Without doubt, it is a strong foothold in the Polish apologetic field.
