The concept of V.Shcherbakivsky about the roots and functions of ornamentation in the Ukrainian folk culture (on the example of pottery)

Summary/Abstract: On the example of pottery is considered the vision an outstanding Ukrainian scientist and museum staff V. Scherbakivsky origin and function of ornamentation in Ukrainian folk culture. Analyzed the conceptual work "The ornamentation of Ukrainian house". The conclusion is made about the validity of the study ornaments of certain categories of products in a certain space – traditional house, the necessity of taking into account their every modern researcher.
