Summary/Abstract: As the number of Internet users grows, the opportunities to reach consumers expand. Online marketing offers many advantages, making it increasingly attractive worldwide as well as in Slovakia. Before the advent of the Internet business entities could use only one-way communication tools. The Internet and especially its new philosophy of Web 2.0 brought about a powerful tool for two-way communication between business entities and their potential customers they want to reach. Advertising on the Internet is a relatively new discipline which, however, offers a range of solutions, tools, successful advertising campaigns and available literature.
