Summary/Abstract: In this article, balls are treated as grand social events with compulsory dance program components, based on the place they are being held. Locations of balls are differentiated into two main groups: private mentions and public places. Locations can also be located outdoors or in architectural objects. Analysis has been conducted based on examples from history and present balls in Ukraine, Tsarist Russia and France.
