Summary/Abstract: The Orthodox Church was always sensitive to the historical realities. The Church expresses itself through doctrines and by the administrative management form that it promotes. In time, in strong connection with all social changes, Church‟s administrative norms of management have multiplied, and regulations and statutes were create. From a historical point of view, these regulations and statutes ruled all administrative-ecclesial life. Such is the example of Şaguna‟s Status, one of the most well known Status of all time. It is a Status from which some basic principles and some elements are still in use in contemporary ecclesial laws. The present study refers to the way in which Diocesan Consistories, or the executive management of a Diocese, functioned.
