Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present underlying theoretical aspects of construction logistics. Management science should look for new ways of increasing effectiveness of a company taking into consideration constantly changing market conditions. In modern theories of business management the provision that the winner is the one, who develops essential competences, i.e. keeps only his/her activities, has been increasingly grounded. The use of logistics would help to achieve effective management of the process of building, and organising the work of a company. The main task of logistics is optimal planning and organisation of materials of production, material values and information flows. Building companies mostly face the problems of the supply of materials, fabrics, organisation of equipment.
