PROBLEMATIKA PREUZIMANJA ARHIVSKE GRAĐE
ISSUES OF AQUIRING ARCHIVAL MATERIAL

Summary/Abstract: Acquisition of archives by the holders and creators (Self-presentation) in the relevant archives is an important segment of archival service; so this was paid special attention, which resulted in the adoption of new archival legislation at the state level, entities and cantons. All regulations are a continuation of earlier practices and constitute a sufficient legal basis for the aquisition of material. However, improper handling of material by the registry archives causes additional difficulties. The archives are forced to arrange taking over of unarranged archive material. Therefore, it is very important that the archive special attention devotes to records at all stages of its formation. Archives remains a need and opportunity to apply new regulations (and founders) that do not result in a dilemma: whether to carry out its obligations, which would otherwise be done by the archive, but at the registry’s expense.
