Summary/Abstract: Turkey and Russia are in a stable and friendly relations, primarily in the the economy and energy field since the 1990s. Putin with a doctorate in management of Russia's natural resources, developing strategies to increase oil and gas production and exports of his country during the 2000’s, also began to seek passage of new pipelines to move these resources. The two countries have talked about many projects in those years: the Blue Stream, the Samsun-Ceyhan oil pipeline project, the entry of Gazprom into Turkey gas distribution, making Lukoil refinery in Zonguldak, South Stream and the latest Turkish Stream. Although they have suffered a deep trauma when a Russian warplane was hit by Turkey in November 2015, once again energy and economic relations have a great role to improve their relations. In this article, we intend to assess the relations of Turkey and Russia in the energy arena.
