Summary/Abstract: The paper tackles the main issues related to the forensic interpretation of traces in context of crime scene investigation. This approach is made in innovative way at as is it made in consonance with the idea of criminal profiling as a necessary step for the interpretation itself. The forensic interpretation takes an important part in the economy of each investigation, because it offers a lot of information that could decrease the circle of suspects and in the final lead to the perpetrator. Some of the information processed during the steps of the forensic interpretation could be used by the criminal profilers in the process of creating the profile of the offender. The paper tries to emphasize the importance of the forensic interpretation and exploitation of the traces in the process of crime scene investigation for the good evolution of the criminal profiling, and also, tries to identify the common elements of these activities.
