Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to uncover the reasons for the deep crisis of modern education, which is rooted in the underestimation of the principle of humanism. It is based on the thesis that the University is not only an organization for the achievement of pragmatic goals but above all a place for the preparation of both good professionals and cultural and moral persons, To apply and understand the spirit of humanism. It examines the role of the concept of human potential in the education system, which is a key factor in the formation of the personality.
