Summary/Abstract: The system of names of musical instruments and their semantic realizations in the history of Bulgarian literary language are examined in this academic paper. The linguistic facts of old Bulgarian manuscripts and Bulgarian dialekts are used. The system of names and its distribution in different contexts are analyzed.
