Summary/Abstract: The article deals with a recent history of Albania during 1924, which although developed in a limited space of time, it took a large extension in the Albanian historiography. Treatment of certain aspects of the June 1924’s movement is important to clarify whether the rapid flow of political events that took place during this year were good or not for the Albanian nation. In this article, is intended to be treated in a summary of some important issues, such as the main causes that led to the aggravation large scale, the war between the political groups within the country; how the struggle for political power in the country was promoted by both sides, but especially by the opposition as “protection” of the state and the nation; the image created among the opposition’s leaders that “nationalism was being raised” and that representatives of the opposition were the “saviors” of Albania; the reaction of government forces that due to the killing of Avni Rustemi, should not be overturned throughout Albania; the formation of the Government of Fan Noli and debate whether the events of June 1924 were “revolution” or “military coup against the state”; external and internal challenges in front of government of Fan Noli; the main mistakes that led to the government of Fan Noli to failure; and the return of Ahmet Zogu to the power considered as “triumph of legitimacy”. The survey of Movement of June 1924 is important to analyze several important aspects of it. Regardless of Ahmet Zogu was set as the target of opposition leaders, since 1920 up to this time, all of the good and evil that passed Albania were the product of his cooperation with representatives of the opposition who accused him now. To defuse the internal political situation, A. Zogu decided twice to open the way, he resigned as prime minister and later, the political majority of the country leaded by him reached a agreement with opposition groups from Shkodra and Kosova for their involvement in government. The changing course of Albanian political opposition had serious consequences for the fate of the nation and the state. It affected directly and in the long term the disruption of the Albanian national forces, weakened the strength of Albanian nationalism. It decentralized the focus of goals and aspirations of Albanian nationalism and the Albanian nation as well as it exposed to risks that can come from neighbors because of the internal weakness of Albanian state. Albanian army chiefs, made a serious mistake when instead of working to protect the country from external threats, they were involved in the slough of domestic politics. Fan Noli government was doomed to fail because the realization of the liberal program of his government lacked two essential elements: the financial means and internal support from various political groups that came to power.
