Summary/Abstract: In this work, we focus on interactions between economic growth andagglomeration. Innovations have tended to concentrate geographically in regions where areimplanted universities and companies oriented towards Research and Development. Weobserved that the concentration of such specialized resources strengthens regionalpropensity for innovation and growth. Considering the regional specialization of innovativeactivities as a result of the combination of skills and specific capabilities developedregionally, there would be much stronger link between growth and geography. We dividedthis paper into two sections: a review of the agglomeration sources, and the relationshipbetween agglomeration and regional growth.
