Summary/Abstract: The author of this article analyses Polish and Russian lullabies in a few sensoric aspects. One of the groups are colours referred to in the studied texts. As it appears, Russian lullabies, except the colours of silver, black and gold so numerous in Polish lullabies, also engage the colours of blue, purple and yellow. Another comparison is made as for taste. In both cultures there is this sweet sleep of a child that has a direct taste connection. Also, in both cultures the lullabies seem ‘spooky’. Despite that they are always a unique bridge between reality and dream.
