The Catalogue of Master’s Theses on Church Libraries in Poland for the Years 1946-2014

Summary/Abstract: In Poland, church libraries play an important role in the evangelizationof the universal Church. In the catalogue there are 641 master’s theseswritten in 18 academic institutions and guided by 158 promotors (including33 priests and 125 secular academic teachers). Themes relate to churchlibraries, their resources and the library staff. Master’s theses concern:biographies, bibliographies, incunabula, special collections (old prints),manuscripts, library inventories, catalogues, private clergy collections, thechurch institution libraries: diocesan, chapter, cathedral, collegiate, parish,seminaries, academic institutions, religious orders and congregations.In Poland, church libraries play an important role in the evangelization of the universal Church.
