Summary/Abstract: The passion of human being for the power employed on the same species is treated as a subject in many fields of both oral and written literature. Gender supremacy of male on female turns into sociological, economic, psychological and political supremacy in time. The aim of the desire to prevail over other human beings through a conscious objectification policy is to objectify the other. Power struggle also aims to take the power among independent individuals; this struggle is then replaced by violence and slavery as a result of the inaction of the subject. Modern human in the swirl of hegemonic relations is dramatized in plays of Turgay Nar within the scope of mechanization, monopolization, alienation and marginalization. The author presents political conflicts, which are rooted in the history and can be encountered in every society, through the elements of history, mythology, Sufism and tales, rather than offering current and vicious political discussions in his plays. In this particular play, the author prefers presenting the artist-power conflict through “1001 nights”. How the woman is objectified, since the power wants to practice its power on society, can be seen in this play. The person who combats the power is a woman who represents the artist. The author has a unique style through grotesque elements, atrocity scenes and unusual space setups in this play as well as the other plays of the author. In his play titled Şehrazat’ın Oyunu, which causes tension for the reader through poetic language and psychologically-deep sentences, Turgay Nar tries to explain how human being objectifies its own species through artist-power conflict. The author underscores that creativeness prevails over authority and despotism. In this play, the artist adopts a constructive and transformative attitude instead of a devastating one during her combat. This study touches upon physical and psychological devastations caused by power desire and then aims to investigate the obtained results.
