Christianity as a topic in classes in Polish and Belarusian as foreign languages

Summary/Abstract: The article examines the problem of including topics on Christianity in teaching foreign languages. Thearticle contains a review of various coursebooks on Polish and Belarusian as foreign languages. A number oftrends among authors of Polish, Belarusian and French coursebooks have been compared with respect totopics regarding Christianity. These topics can generate debates on ideological grounds with students andteachers as active participants, which means that the latter are often faced with the problem they should beable to address in an appropriate way.
