Summary/Abstract: Valorisation of registry and archival material is not a goal itself. It is a system of procedures and measures that rationally and functionally but scientifically based, the way in civilization in general, but also in every segment of it, strives to provide maximal information on the minimum of archival material of every kind. It was developed, developed and built, in parallel with efforts to preserve and protect archival material in the optimal quantity. At the same time, they changed their understanding of the character and significance of valorisation, of the principles and criteria on which it is based, as well as of the emergence of materials on new information holders, so that today the valuation of the material is incorporated into the system of records management, designed and implemented by archivists and archivists in registry. Valorisation of the registry and archives of BiH puts forward additional requirements. When it comes to logging, this implies, due to the number of damaged material, the need for reconstruction of damaged funds, and then the obligation to revaluate the material. The revalorization should also be made of existing archival material, mainly due to the overlapping material of the socialist period. Thus, the events that have arisen in the last decades of the transition of the Bosnian society (war, change of political system, etc.) inevitably lead to the necessity of introducing new approaches to the valorisation of the registery and archival material. Hence the established system of valuation of materials in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina must be adapted to the real state in order to be more efficient.
