Summary/Abstract: This paper gives an account of a scientific conference organized in Kołobrzeg on 22–23 May by the Institute of Accounting of Szczecin University and the Accounting Section of Zachodniopomorski Uni-versity of Technology. This conference, being part of a series on Accounting in the Management of Busi-ness Entities, addressed problems in present-day accounting, changes that are taking place in it, applica-tion of accounting theory in business practice, and development prospects of this academic discipline.
