Democratization of Property Relations as Prerequisite for the Development of Local Self-Government

Summary/Abstract: The main objective of this paper is to highlight the need for democratization of property relations as prerequisite for the development of substantial local self-government. Usually, persons responsible for the providing of funds determine their purpose and distribute them according to their own criteria. The money that citizens and companies invest to satisfy common needs, should be converted to shares, stock or common shares, with all the rights of direct management and disposal. In the substantial local self-government everybody is active. Everyone is invited to initiate, discuss the raised issues and proposals, establishing the direct relations without anyone’s interference and thus beyond the traditional relations of social hierarchy and subordination.
