Disciplinary responsibility of local self-government employees

Summary/Abstract: Disciplinary responsibility of local government employees began to coexist with the restoration of the local government in the Third Republic. However, the legal regulation of this issue had many shortcomings. What is more, its importance was steadily decreasing and it was finally abolished at the end of 2008. According to the Author it should be perceived as a mistake. Disciplinary responsibility is necessary in order to impose appropriate sanctions for the breaches of obligations by local government officials. The Author points out that there is a demand for its restoration in the local self-government and presents some proposals how to shape it in the future law.
