Summary/Abstract: In this paper Ognjen Pribicevic, analyzed political development of most important right wing parties in Serbia after 2000 – the Democratic Party of Serbia and the Serbian Radical Party or the Serbian Progressive Party which was formed following the split among the Radicals at the end of 2008. godine. The author underlined contrastive directions of development of these parties. While the Democratic Party of Serbia was running away from the European Union in its politics and therefore isolated itself from main political streams and votes, the Serbian Progressive Party made a radical shift toward previous politics of the Serbian Radical Party and became a supporter of European path of Serbia. These changes have greatly narrowed possibility for cooperation between these two parties, but also greatly narrowed the chances of the Serbian Progressive Party to finally form the government after future elections. In opinion of the author, in this moment it seems that the Serbian Progressive Party may rise to the power only by forming a great coalition with reigning Democratic Party and at least for now such idea has been abandoned by both these two parties.
