Summary/Abstract: The short story “Carambuka”, written by Radichkov, exemplifies the notion of text as a complex construction, in which are included paratext, intertext, author and reader. Postmodern effort to estimate critically the relationship between language and reality, this literary work appraises prescribed models of reading and writing. In a deconstructivist manner it outlines and dismantles a series of oppositions, restores forgotten ways of sensemaking. As an example of the open work conception Radichkov’s “Carambuka” makes a reader as an open structure that brings text to life.
