Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is the description of registered by amateur online dictionaries names of people because of their nationality and race. The author carries out semantic and structural analyses of these terms. The next stage of the study is to compare the analysed names with similar vocabulary recorded in traditional dictionaries, allowing to illustrate changes in the last few years and to indicate of development trends. The author assumes that the vocabulary registered in the dictionaries created byamateurs represents a colloquial way of thinking and seeing the world, as well as whatis the most interesting in language for an average user. Description of the distinguished set of vocabulary, rather representative of thegeneral terms in online dictionaries, may be helpful in the characteristics of the entire vocabulary recorded by amateur online dictionaries.
