Summary/Abstract: The aim of the present paper is to analyze the peculiarities ascribed to envy in the Lithuanian language world-view. The analysis of envy conceptualization is based on 1841 examples drawn from the corpus compiled in Linguistics Computational Center in Vytautas Magnus University. After the analysis of the envy conceptual metaphors, it turned out, that in the world-view of the Lithuanian language, this psychic phenomenon is associated with such subjects and objects, which cannot be controlled at all, or can be controlled partially by the experiencer. Envy is tended to be personified most of all. The conclusion could be drawn, that envy in the Lithuanian language world-view is imagined as strong, difficult, dangerous, with difficulty controlled, and negatively evaluated emotional state.
