Summary/Abstract: The common point of the contemporary approaches proposed for mother language teaching is their gathering pedagogical and linguistic knowledge together. The main reason for this situation is the need for highlighting and questioning the natural interaction between basic linguistic skills and the information processing system of the human brain. That is, the main assumption of these approaches is that a systematic or precise explanation can not be put forward by ignoring basic linguistic skills and the information processing system of the human brain for developing the mentioned skills. By regarding such a framework, this article aims to discuss the concepts offered within the fields of linguistics, especially text linguistics to the mother language teaching environments, and then give an evaluative presentation of these concepts.
