The problem of private long-term savings in the Polish pension scheme

Summary/Abstract: Demographic changes and the condition of the public finance require conducting changes in the pension scheme. So far the functioning system based above all on paid retirement pensions from the compulsory part isn't able to guarantee of high replacing rate. For that purpose proper building the large store of individual savings is necessary. So far financial products functioning in frames of the III pillar on account of their structure and little fiscal incentives didn't fulfill the assumed role. So taking action being aimed at breaking restrictions and barriers in the rise in long-term savings is necessary. Tasks in this respect should immediately be taken.
