Summary/Abstract: The issue of common relations between the security system and the national economy is examined by a relatively new sub discipline – national security economics. It remains crucial to define the contemporary security determinants (in the conditions of a multi polar system and the array of threats with an asymmetric nature) as well as the role of economic science in making strategic decisions for national security.
