Summary/Abstract: The article examines two methods of transposition into internal law some legal instruments adopted at EU level with direct reference to the institution of international judicial cooperation in criminal matters. We have revealed that the Romanian legislator chose two ways, namely: amending and completing the special law and adopting a new normative act such as the Law no. 151/2016 on the European protection order. However, we made some critical opinions reasoned by the fact that Romanian legislator provides, in both ways, incomplete transposition of European legal instruments.
