Summary/Abstract: A modest and apparently unassuming personality, Mignon faced with great dignity both personal tragedy and the misfortunes of her native and adoptive countries during the two world conflagrations of the twentieth century. Today old Yugoslavia does not exist anymore, it has been replaced by several independent states, but the admiration for Mignon still continues among many people.
