The cooperation of social sciences and economy – selected findings

Summary/Abstract: The article concerns the issue of the cooperation of social sciences and economy. It seems that those two worlds: social sciences and economy are still too distant from each other, and their potential is not realized in an optimal way. A broad theoretical context for the presented analyses was based on the question of the low innovativeness of Poland when compared to the other European Union member countries, as well as on the role of tertiary schools in introducing innovation and commercialising it. The central part of this article is the issue of the commercialisation of knowledge in social sciences.
