Summary/Abstract: This article presents a new online degree in “Media Pedagogy” started in the academic year 2016/2017 at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. The advantage of the new degree is not only their form but also attractive content. The program allows students to acquire the skills needed for delivering training online as well as designing interactive educational materials. They will also be able to plan and conduct with competence educational activities that use modern techniques and tools. Theoretical analysis is supported by research on the needs and motivations of students undertaking these studies.
