Summary/Abstract: In the article the textological tradition of Joan Exarch’s translation of De fide orthodoxa is analysed on the basis of L. Sadnik´s critical edition. The following types of textological versions of theological terminological lexis are differentiated: word-building, lexical, textological versions of type εν διά δυοίν, phonetic, morphological, syntactical. Also different ways of reading compound words are shown. The question of semantic relation among textological versions has also been touched. So called Cyrillo-Methodian words and Preslav-words of different ways of reading are formed in a separate group. The author also describes the reasons of the appearance of textological versions. Word-building tendencies in terminological lexis in textological tradition of Joan Exarch’s translation of De fide orthodoxa are also discussed.
