The Kingdom of Belgium’s approach towards the immigration crisis (2015–2016)

Summary/Abstract: Belgium was not in a difficult situation during heavy influx of immigrants but on the other hand, in some areas, Belgium has failed in spite of past experience with immigrants. This article presents the colonial past of Belgium, the evolution of international migration since the year 2000–2014 as well as more broadly discussed the situation of migrants on the Belgian labor market in the years 2015–2016.
