Summary/Abstract: The main cognitive objective of this study is an attempt to explain the relationship between the elements of the micro-strategy – open strategy – strategic ecosystem triad. The inspiration to write the article was primarily the lack of papers (in the Web of Science database) presenting these categories as elements of a coherent system. Strategy in micro scale is presented through the context of: microactions, microaspects and microfoundations. Anthropomorphisation of business entities results in the opening of the organization to entities which are the members of its surroundings. This is how open strategy begins. All these conditions create a new ecosystem of organizations that is shaped by purposeful interactions of a new community of organizations which are open to cooperation and competition, and are connected by mutual trust, collaboration and co-creation of value. This study is of theoretical character, involves observations and conclusions from the available literature, and bases on inductive inference.
