Testimonies in the collections of the National History Museum of Romania regarding the union of Basarabia and Romania

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents documents regarding the unification of Basarabia with Romania that took place in March, 27, 1918. These documents with an exceptional historical value were purchased by the National History Museum in 1974 and 1976. They throw light upon some very important moments in carrying ont the historic process that led to the above mentioned unification.On the other hand, outstanding figures are dealt with, who played an important role in the achievement of the unification, such as: king Ferdinand of Romania, Ion Inculeţ - president of the Council of the Country of Chişinău, Alexandru Marghiloman-Prime Minister of Romania and Gurie Grosu - archbishop of Chişinău and Hotin and bishop of Chişinău.
