Models of R&D cooperation in holdings

Summary/Abstract: The article concerns significant, but insufficiently described in the literature issue of cooperation in R&D within the groups of enterprises. Recognition of the literature about the role of R&D in innovation development and R&D cooperation enabled to develop the four theoretical models of cooperation in R&D among a subsidiaries of the holding: the concentrated model, the distributed model, the incidental model and the integrated model These models were verified empirically. The empirical research was based on four deliberately chosen groups of enterprises operating in Poland. Research have confirmed the possibility of using different models of cooperation in the field of R&D among subsidiaries of the holding and the relative difficulty of implementation of the integrated model.
