Summary/Abstract: The political developments which have unfolded in Montenegro over the last 18 months could have come straight out of a Hollywood script. The dynamics of which are made up of a sequence of protests, political manoeuvring, allegations of a Russian-backed assassination plot and a political elite determined to hang on to power. All the while, this tiny Balkan state is trying to maintain its course towards NATO and the European Union.
