Summary/Abstract: The paper aims to examine the text of the Romanian literary translation of Ishiguro’s famous novel, starting from punctual remarks based on a number of translation procedures and strategies, including the opposition ‘foreignization’ vs. ‘domestication’. The conclusions also relate to the current status of literary translation in this country, or the more or less official trends affecting standardization in the field.
