Summary/Abstract: Office (administrative) activities include a system of procedures through which the whole working process is monitored and registered in order to provide that managerial bodies and managing people perform their work tasks as successfully as possible. All activities related to documents/records from the moment of producing to the moment of filing are also part of these activities. Archival activities are the second phase in dealing with documents and start with storing the register materials and archive materials into depositories as required by the established system of classification every holder has to follow. It includes recording of the register materials, safe keeping and managing these materials, selection of the archive materials and elimination of the valueless register materials according to the Category list and handover of the materials to the archive of competence. The office and archival activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina developed under specific circumstances as a result and on sequence of establishment and growth of the archival service in this country.
