Summary/Abstract: Studying the publications of the time (The Official Monitor, Romanian Independence) the author insists on the most important moments of the visit made in Romanian, in autumn 1896, by Emperor of Austria Hungary, François Joseph 1er . In this way, we present the official part, the visit of the Castle of Peleş and its surroundings. The last day and a half of the emperor's sojourn at Sinaia, where the latter wished to recreate himself, took the walks in the picturesque station; The accompanying personalities, the impressions left by the country and the Romanian people. In the same way, some appreciations are made concerning the political and sentimental importance of the visit of the Emperor Francis Joseph I in Romania, invited by King Charles I
