Summary/Abstract: The present study is dedicated to the brief archaeographical description of a hitherto unknown manuscript – the Gospel Book written by hieromonk Macarius from Putna Monastery. Nowadays it is preserved in a private collection from Moscow. As it follows from its colophon, the manuscript was written on the commission of Prince Petru of Moldavia, who paid 50 gold coins for it, to his man of prayer – archimandrite Silouan, who entrusted the task to Macarius, a remarkable calligrapher of the time. Up to now only one manuscript authored by hieromonk Macarius was known – the Gospel Book from 1529, preserved in the library of Rila Monastery from Bulgaria (manuscript No. 9).
