Summary/Abstract: Taking into account the construction materials (cut limestone, terracotta water pipes, bricks etc.) similar to those of Slon's cities (see the previous article in "Muzeul Naţional", VI, Bucureşti, 1982, p. 146-147) discovered in different agglomerations the author comes to the conclusion that on the territory between the Carpathians and the Danube there existed around 20 cities similar to those of the Slon (Figure 1) and having the same function of defending The trading routes.These cities were dependent on a local chief (kneaz). The local chieftains maintained exchanges between them and also trade links with the Balcanic Peninsula and the Byzantine Empire
