Summary/Abstract: Al-Tzigara-Samurcaş deployed during the first half of this century a laborious activity of ethnographer, art historian and museologist. The imperishable part of the cultural heritage left by him is predominant in the field of museography, his most important achievements being related to the activity of director of the Museum of National Art and Inspector General of Museums in the Ministry of Education.
