Summary/Abstract: Risk taking is usually regarded as an activity which is dangerous and disadvantageous for adolescents’ well-being and development. However it is worth to ask a question: what profits young people can acquire taking the risk, what needs they can satisfy and what is the value of risk taking behaviours? The goal of the article is an analysis of risk taking in the context of profits gained by people on biological through social to educational level.
