Summary/Abstract: The text is opened by the brief characteristic of the accepted thinking assumptions about the humanities (pedagogics). This group of assumptions makes a „cultural a priori” for all social practices that require the acts of intercommunication. When someone assumes that each theory is a cultural work, what also implies a specified cultural view of the universe, then it should be also assumed that, described in this theory, states of affairs may be treated only on its ground. Several notes regarding a notional (cultural) relativism of accepted way of thinking indicate that representation – i.e. intentionalism is rather inconvenient for relativists as well as for positivists for their reductive view of the universe. Instead, it seems that what is intentional, it breaks into our description of what is unintentional – as if what is intentional used to be in some way omnipresent (H. Putnam). Educational implications of the accepted assumptions of the reflections regarding pedagogics are the look on the modern humanities from the two ways of thinking viewpoint – modernistic and postmodernistic. Their short presentation is connected with an attempt of determination of relationship between them, searching for what different authors call „between”. Above mentioned opposition fi xed a division into two pedagogics; therefore, there are searching for the third issue (third paradigm) – the third pedagogics.
