Summary/Abstract: This study is influenced by the ideas of the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu. The assumption is that the external differentiation of the school system conceals a social selection of students, teachers and parents. On an empirical level, the answer to the question of the existence of symbolic capital at school and the students’ explicit or implicit awareness of it is sought.
