Summary/Abstract: Listening to music is connected with inducing emotions and imaginations. The only method of exploring them is still verbal description, made by the auditor. It is explored, which emotions and imaginations are made by pieces of music in different styles: polish national music, european romantic music, polish folk music, polish jazz and american heavy metal. The tests result that all of styles stimulate emotional sphere, relatively much feeling were made by polish national music. All of this styles inspire imagination and they make historical and present-day visions beside of time, when they were made. Also, the largest number of imaginations connected witch historical characters and events were induced by polish national music. In cases of all pieces of music, we could find peoples, that they felt no feeling, nor imaginations.
