Physical education and sport in educational system in the province of częstochowskie in years 1975–1998. Outline of the issues

Summary/Abstract: This paper has been devoted to two issues: physical education in educational system and school sport. The territorial area of the paper covers the territory of the province of częstochowskie from years 1975–1998. In Part I of the paper resolutions and laws have been presented, which during the period covered referred to physical education in both primary and secondary education. A lot of attention in this part has been paid to sports infrastructure of schools, which determined the level of classes in physical education. In Part II, in turn, the activities of the School Sports Association – SZS have been discussed (with attention focused on the organizational structure and the most important events organized by SZS) and school sport links (sports schools, School Sports Clubs, Interschool Sports Clubs, Interschool Sports Centres, sports forms and forms with extended curriculum in PE, District Centres of School Sport and Students’ Sports Clubs).
