Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper has been to present the issues of physical education and sport of girls and female youth in education in the light of “Start” magazine in the years 1927–1936. The editors of “Start” presented issues of physical education and sport of girls and female youth in education in the interwar period. It published reports on the implementation of physical activity of girls in general, secondary and vocational education. Some articles and reports referred to the question of the participation of girls in physical education and military training camps and courses. Teaching staff working in female education completed trainings, including in-service ones, as part of physical education and sport as well as methodological conferences. Female students took an active part in physical education shows and sports competitions. Examples of such events included Physical Education and Military Training Festivals and School Youth Festivals. Gaining sports badges, including mainly the National Sports Badge, complemented girls' physical activity.
